In the early 1950’s our Grandfather, Ron Little, established “Little’s Wrecking” in Gympie. He was a busy man – farming beans before and work while growing a wrecking yard business right in the middle of town! Our Grandmother (Phyl) was also the forward thinking type – taking her combie van out on the road selling parts to workshops all over South East Qld.
By the 1980’s our parents had taken on the business and started to specialise in parts and accessories for 4WD vehicles. Again, they were busy folk – this time farming on the weekends while still growing the established wrecking yard in Gympie.
Bruce & Kathy Walker then started RecoFactory and eventually moved the business to specially built premises off the Bruce Hway, Gympie South.
Their efforts were rewarded with industry recognition through the Auto Parts Recycler’s Association of Australia in 1996.
Eventually two of their three children came back into the business – and Ben and Brandy have been co-owners for the past few years.
After thirty years in the business of new & used 4WD parts & accessories RecoFactory has developed RecoFactory.com.au to give our customers another way to shop our great range.
